Southern Arkansas University has specifically designed their online courses so that nothing is lacking when compared an on-campus experience. SAU has over 1,000 people studying through their online program, many of which are distance learners that want the flexibility of studying toward a degree that fits their schedule. These distance learners often study toward an undergraduate degree, but there are many online students that are studying toward a graduate degree to help further their career. There are plenty of types of financial aid available to students as well, making SAU one of the cheapest online options.
Search for colleges that offer online classes. This includes public and private schools in your state and across the country. States often have higher education governing boards that publish a list of colleges that offer online courses and degree programs. Alternatively, reputable news publications, such as "U.S. News and World Report," provide an annual list of online colleges, including their rankings.
The overall college enrollment rate increased from 2000 to 2010. Similarly, the college enrollment rate increased at 4-year institutions and 2-year institutions during this period. Over a more recent time period, the overall college enrollment rate in 2017 was not measurably different from the rate in 2010, but the rate at 4-year institutions increased from 2010 (28 percent) to 2017 (30 percent), and the rate at 2-year institutions decreased from 13 percent to 10 percent during this period.
